THEA 250 Period Styles for Stage and Screen

We explore select examples of shifting styles in European and American culture from the 15th through the 20th centuries. Through this exploration, we understand how fashion history and the act of dressing evolved throughout the centuries based on technological advancements, changes in social class structures and in political climates. These areas are examined through reading and critical analysis of plays and films, in-class discussions, and presentations.
