SOC 101 Introduction to Sociology

This course introduces students to the "sociological imagination"-a way of viewing events relationships and social phenomena which form the fabric of our lives and much of our history. We will examine the ways in which people are shaped influenced and controlled by their society and vice versa. In addition students will be encouraged to think about how sociology helps us understand and interpret the nature of social order and disorder. Open only to frosh and sophomores or by permission of instructor.
