PHYS 165 Light

An introduction to optics and modern physics for both science and non-science majors. Topics include geometrical optics physical optics waves special relativity wave-particle duality atomic and nuclear physics. Includes one three-hour laboratory per week.

Students are expected to have a strong understanding of algebra and trigonometry. Not open to students who have completed PHYS 110, PHYS 115, PHYS 120, or PHYS 125; or equivalent.
