PHIL 230 Happiness, Meaning, and the Good Life

Philosophical thinkers have asked a series of related questions about how to live: What is happiness?  What kinds of human activities give our lives meaning? More generally, how must a person live to have lived well?  This course will examine a variety of answers to these questions. As a significant component of the course, students will practice living within one of the traditions we study, and reflect upon that experience.
