Obama Scholars Program
Created in 2017, the Barack Obama Scholars Program at Occidental College empowers the next generation of leaders in active pursuit of the public good. Honoring the legacy of Occidental’s most famous student, this scholarship program provides a comprehensive experience for exceptional students who seek the opportunity to create lasting and meaningful change.
Obama Scholars are required to enroll in, attend, and complete assignments for regular seminar meetings with the Obama Scholars faculty mentor. In this seminar, participants discuss readings and participate in activities focused on the concept of leadership and the public good.
