UAS 101 Introduction to Unmanned Aircraft Systems

An introduction to the fundamentals of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), including their history and their developing role in the modern aviation industry. Topics include structural elements, avionics, flight control and guidance systems, navigation, remote sensing, and human factors. Also covers UAS integration into commercial and military airspace as well as FAA regulations and sanctions. Emphasis is on future employment in the field with a focus on commercial airspace.
