BUS 215 E-Commerce

This course provides a business perspective on the strategies, issues, and technologies used for conducting business online. The topics included are examination of various business models and the effect e-commerce has had on the service sector; e-commerce infrastructure, the Internet, and the web; effective website planning, design, evaluation, and implementation; web marketing including consumer research, market segmentation, pricing, and promotion; online payment systems; security and encryption issues; privacy, legal, and ethical concerns; global e-commerce considerations; and m-commerce. Students will learn how to write a business plan to launch an online business. Meets business elective requirements for business students.
