NUR 3895 Teaching and Learning for the Healthcare Professional

This course provides RN to BSN students with a foundation in teaching and learning principles. Attention will be directed towards an understanding of learning theories, determination of learning behaviors, overcoming barriers to learning and evaluation of methods. Development of learning objectives will be identified across the lifespan and within the context of patient and/or group characteristics. A selection of teaching and learning strategies will be reviewed for their impact on improving health outcomes.
