COMM 301 Introduction to Literary Criticism

Cross-listed with ENGL 301. An introduction to traditional and contemporary approaches in the study of literature and fundamental skills required for the analysis of literary texts. While the course's primary objective is to develop a familiarity with and understanding of ways which texts can be analyzed and interpreted, the course is also intended to help develop a student's critical reading, thinking, and writing skills important both in literary studies and everyday engagement with the cultural texts that shape our world.
