FLM 8 Lighting Principles

This course explores the various qualities of light that are essential for a photographer to understand and identify. Through practical assignments, the student learns to use portable electronic flash and/or ambient light. A variety of situations are studied to understand limitations, advantages and disadvantages of lighting environments. Through lecture and in class presentation students are exposed to various classic lighting patterns seen both in traditional art media and film.
